The Shelly EM Gen4 is a next-generation smart energy meter designed to monitor and manage the energy consumption of residential and commercial electrical installations. Featuring multi-protocol connectivity, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, Zigbee, and Matter, it integrates seamlessly into modern smart home and building automation systems.

Powered by a new-generation processor and equipped with 16 MB of flash memory, the Shelly EM Gen4 provides local data storage with one-minute resolution for at least 30 days. It supports accurate two-channel single-phase energy measurement using up to two current transformers and includes a 50 A current clamp in the package.

In addition to monitoring energy consumption, the Shelly EM Gen4 can be used with contactors to control high-power electrical loads such as water heaters, heat pumps, hot tubs, and large household appliances. It also helps identify abnormal consumption patterns that may indicate equipment issues or reduced efficiency.
