The Shelly Wave 1 is a compact Z-Wave 800 relay designed to control a wide range of electrical devices, including electric locks, gates, garage doors, irrigation systems, lighting, LED strips, and sockets. Thanks to its potential-free (dry contact) output, it offers high flexibility, allowing connection to both low and high voltage systems up to 16 A.

Using Z-Wave technology, Shelly Qubino devices ensure seamless communication between smart home products from different brands through a centralized gateway. The Wave 1 integrates the latest Z-Wave 800 Series chip, providing improved range, faster communication, and enhanced efficiency.

Designed for retrofit installation, the module fits behind switches or sockets, instantly transforming traditional devices into smart ones. Once included in a Z-Wave network, it can be controlled remotely via smartphone or tablet and integrates with over 4,000 Z-Wave-certified devices and gateways.

The device supports advanced automation through schedules and scenes, enabling operation based on time, sunrise/sunset, or interaction with other Z-Wave devices. With support for associations, it can also communicate directly with other devices without requiring constant hub interaction.

Security is ensured through S2 Authenticated encryption, while OTA firmware updates allow continuous improvements and long-term reliability.
